Aqueduct Race Track
After a conduit for the Brooklyn Water Works was built in southwestern Queens in the 1850’s, the surrounding neighborhood became known as Aqueduct. Queens Wildlife Center (Zoo)
This zoo, divided into "wild" and "domestic" areas, houses some 250 animals of 40 species. In the domestic area visitors can meet and touch sheep, ducks, rabbits, and other animals. There is also an Education Center, where people of all ages can learn about wildlife and plants.

Shea Stadium
It was the first stadium of its size to have an extensive escalator system and capable of being converted from baseball diamond to football gridiron and back using two motor-operated stands that moved on underground tracks. Shea Stadium is the noisiest outdoor ballpark in the majors because it is in the flight path of La Guardia Airport.

USTA National Tennis Center
The USTA National Tennis Center is the largest public tennis facility in the world. It features 33 outdoor courts – not including Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium or the Grandstand courts – and nine indoor courts, which are available for year-round use by the public. Although the USTA National Tennis Center is best known as the home of the US Open, a number of other exciting events are held at the facility each year.
